I had an '01 Dakota R/T...It was a great little truck, but I just got tired of that automatic transmission...I love to go through the gears! So, I traded the R/T in on my new '07 Ram 1500 SLT. I had my mind made up about a few things going in...It had to be a short wheelbase rig with a V8 and stick...That limited my options considerably...For example, no Hemi in the engine bay. Anyway, I got the 4.7 V8 with the six-speed stick and a 3.92 limited-slip rearend. I had a Flowmaster muffler installed...It's a little loud, but I love it anyway. All in all, this is a great little truck...I haven't been this excited about a vehicle since I got my first Corvette! I feel like a sixty-year-old teenager.

A couple of years ago, I made a drawing of Bugs Bunny, brandishing a Colt 1911. Eventually, I had it tattooed on my arm. Now, I have a new bed stripe with Bugs and the word "Desperado". Hey, Bugs needs protection from Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, and folks like that. Anyway, It's fun, and Bugs is my favorite actor.

Actually installed the lights a month ago, but just tackled the wiring today. Can't say much good about the instructions that came with the kit, but I managed to bumble through it. And best of all, the lights work exactly as advertised.

OK, I'm a child of the '60's - These traction bars were big back then, and I still dig them. They add that "competition" look. Besides, they actually help...They prevent leaf spring wrap-up and wheel hop. Note: The installation instructions refer to parts that are not actually included with the bars. After one month and four emails, the folks at Lakewood finally got back to me and offered no assistance at all. They are definitely NOT into customer service!
